Kurdistan Regional Government strongly responded to remarks by some Arab Chauvinists, which they claimed the next Iraqi president should be only for Arabs as the majority in Iraq.
A Kurdistan Regional Government presidency’s Spokesman declared that, the K.R. Presidency Strongly stands against the chauvinist remarks, in the same time has stressed Kurdistan Region will re-candidate Jalal Talbani for the post of next Iraqi president.
K.R.G. Spokesman has demonstrated that, according to article 14 in the Iraqi permanent constitution, any Iraqi citizen whether would in the majority or in the minority, has the right to candidate himself for president post without distinction between his race and his ethnic or his religion.
The Spokesman has stressed, Kurds will officially candidate Jalal Talbani once again for the post of next Iraqi president.
